Balanco strengthens in Denmark – Aalborg-based Bogføring Nord joins the group
Finland's most international accounting firm is growing again - financial services company Balanco acquires Aalborg-based Bogføring Nord ApS and takes its Nordic strategy to the next level. With the acquisition, Balanco already has over 220 financial professionals in five countries, and the group's pro forma revenue for 2026 will exceed EUR 21 million.
Founded in 2009, Bogføring Nord has established itself as a quality financial management partner in Northern Denmark. The company employs six professionals in Aalborg and had a turnover of approximately EUR 0.6 million in the last financial year. All personnel will continue in their positions without changes, and founder Anny Sørensen will continue to work for the company.
– Bogføring Nord is exactly the type of operator we are looking for: a good reputation, a stable customer base and a customer-oriented way of working. Aalborg complements our Danish network nicely and strengthens our ability to serve customers nationwide, says Kristian Krebs, Country Manager Denmark.
Nordic foothold almost complete – eyes turn to the world
The acquisition of Bogføring Nord is part of Balanco's long-term Nordic strategy. Having grown strongly both through acquisitions and organically, Balanco has grown from a Finnish accounting firm into a Nordic financial management group and Finland's most international accounting firm. After the latest acquisition, the company only has a few strategic areas open in the Nordic countries, and when they find the right solution in due course, the Nordic growth platform will be ready.

The industry is undergoing a major transformation: the automation of routine tasks and artificial intelligence are rapidly changing the nature of financial administration work. Balanco sees this as an opportunity. The Group has the expertise and resources to develop services that generate more and more added value for customers in the form of its own technology, data and expert work instead of just routine work.
