Voland Partners is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Finance & Operations Manager to join our growing team in Helsinki starting in Q3/2026.

As a Finance & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the financial operations, reporting, and governance that underpin Voland’s day-to-day work. At the same time, you will actively communicate with our operational and strategic stakeholders, like LPs, co- investors, and portfolio CEOs and CFOs.

Your work keeps our funds running smoothly, gives investors reporting they can trust, and provides the financial backbone our team relies on. In this permanent role, you build deep institutional knowledge and long-term excellence inside a leading Finnish technology fund.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Finance & Operations Manager, you will contribute across the full investment lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

1) Investor Operations, Reporting & Analytics (30%)

  • Ensure timely, precise, and transparent communication with investors.

  • Maintain accurate portfolio valuations, performance tracking, and fund metrics.

  • Execution of capital calls and distributions with external providers.

  • Ownership of quarterly investor reporting, including financial performance and portfolio reporting.

  • Support fundraising with financial models, track record materials, data rooms, and LP due diligence.

  • Development and continuous improvement of reporting processes, templates, and tools.

  • Preparation of Board, investment committee, and investor materials, as well as governance decision documentation.

2) Fund Finance & Operations (20%)

  • Own all financial data for the funds and management company, including cash flow, budgets, forecasts, capital accounts, fees, and expenses.

  • Oversee bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, and audits together with external providers.

  • Oversight and quality control of outsourced partners.

  • Continuously improve financial systems, reporting tools, and data quality.

3) Compliance, Reporting & Governance (20%)

  • Ensure compliance with AIFM, fund documentation, AML, KYC, SFDR, and internal policies.

  • Responsibility for statutory reporting and regulatory compliance at fund and management company level.

  • End-to-end coordination of annual financial statements and audit processes.

  • Maintain internal control frameworks and governance processes.

4) Annual Responsibility Report (20%)

  • Ownership of the Annual Voland Responsibility Report.

  • Collecting portfolio companies’ and Voland’s own reportable sustainability data in cooperation with portfolio companies.

  • Creating the final report according to Voland Responsible Investment Policy.

  • Continuously improve the data collection and reporting practices.

5) Operations & Internal Management (10%)

  • Manage relationships and contracts with key service providers: lawyers, accountants, auditors, and administrators.

  • Support Partners with operational, financial, and administrative matters.

  • Keep internal processes, documentation, and systems robust and scalable.

+ Portfolio & Investment Support & Value Creation

While this is a back-office role, your work directly supports portfolio value creation. Through strong internal investment process support, financial processes and high-quality reporting, you enable the investment team to focus on working with founders and scaling companies.On a case-by-case basis, you may also support portfolio companies with financial modeling, fundraising preparation, or exit-related work.

You will gain direct exposure to scaling technology companies and work closely with Voland’s experienced team as well as with ambitious entrepreneurs and management teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fund operations, finance, audit, transaction services, VC, PE, infrastructure, or a similarly demanding financial environment.

  • Financial & Operational Excellence: You understand the operations of private equity funds, including cap tables, valuations, LP reporting, cash flows, and compliance.

  • Structured and Reliable: You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning complex processes that others depend on.

  • Sharp & Proactive: You take initiative, see risks early, and enjoy building clarity and order in fast-moving environments.

  • Team Oriented: You work well in a highly ambitious team and take pride in helping others succeed.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging modern AI tools to support automation, analysis, and collaboration in a professional environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent communication skills: fluency in Finnish and English is required. Other European languages are a plus.
